Life Academy often needs volunteers to help chaperone field trips, help out in different classrooms, or accompany teachers and students on week-long class trips to places like Tahoe, Yosemite, and Point Reyes National Park.

Ongoing opportunities are available. All members of the community are welcome to apply, especially Life Academy parents and family members.

Please note that prospective volunteers may be asked to submit proof of Tuberculosis clearance and police/fingerprint clearance. This is an Oakland Unified School District requirement for chaperones of overnight trips.
